UA Wins FLW College Fishing Tournament on Lake Seminole

The University of Alabama team of Charles Hurst of Arley, Alabama, and Ethan Flack of Cullman, Alabama, won the FLW College Fishing Southeastern Conference tournament on Lake Seminole Saturday with five bass weighing 25 pounds, 3 ounces. The victory earned the club $2,000 and advanced the team to the FLW College Fishing Southeastern Conference Championship tournament.

In 1837, The University of Alabama became one of the first five universities in the nation to offer engineering classes. Today, UA’s College of Engineering has more than 5,200 students and more than 170 faculty. In recent years, students in the College have been named USA Today All-USA College Academic Team members, Goldwater, Hollings, Portz, Boren, Mitchell and Truman scholars.
