Looking to keep your student occupied this summer? Check out these camps at the University of Alabama

By Associated Engineering Press

Have you got an engineering whiz kid or a budding environmentalist you need to keep busy while school is out of session this summer?

While University of Alabama students empty out to head to the beach or summer internships, hundreds of K-12 students will take over classrooms and campus this summer in a variety of educational campus.

In 1837, The University of Alabama became one of the first five universities in the nation to offer engineering classes. Today, UA’s College of Engineering has more than 5,200 students and more than 170 faculty. In recent years, students in the College have been named USA Today All-USA College Academic Team members, Goldwater, Hollings, Portz, Boren, Mitchell and Truman scholars.
