ADTRAN Senior Design Showcase features state colleges

ADTRAN is letting college students show off their engineering skills at their 5th annual Senior Design Showcase.

“They’re able to present and share with the ADTRAN engineering and executive committees what they learned in the past four years of their undergraduate degree,” says company engineering director Kent Darzi, who says this event helps strengthen partnerships between ADTRAN and area universities. UAH, the University of Alabama and Auburn University are some of the schools with teams not only showcase their innovative ideas, but also demonstrate their ability to perform technical skills like

 

In 1837, The University of Alabama became one of the first five universities in the nation to offer engineering classes. Today, UA’s College of Engineering has more than 5,200 students and more than 170 faculty. In recent years, students in the College have been named USA Today All-USA College Academic Team members, Goldwater, Hollings, Portz, Boren, Mitchell and Truman scholars.
