Forty teams of entrepreneurs battled it out today in hopes of winning a $50,000 grand prize. The students competed in the Edward K. Aldag, Jr. Business Plan Competition. Some of the participants were University of Alabama students who founded Biogram, a start up company intended to develop a plan for a medical device for heart surgery. The winners of the grand prize were Grant Becker, Kyle Pecot and Andrew Johnson, who developed a cooler to keep vaccines cold during delivery to developing countries.
