Ever wonder just how many Cokes a Vanderbilt University tuition is worth? Well, there’s an app for that … Emily Huynh tapped the keyboard on her computer demonstrating what she called the “tinder for food.” An invention by her and University of Alabama teammate Steven Eastcott, the program lets you swipe left or right based on the ingredients you have in your house or want to use — then it produces a recipe for you.
In 1837, The University of Alabama became one of the first five universities in the nation to offer engineering classes. Today, UA’s College of Engineering has more than 5,200 students and more than 170 faculty. In recent years, students in the College have been named USA Today All-USA College Academic Team members, Goldwater, Hollings, Portz, Boren, Mitchell and Truman scholars.
