Universty of Alabama and Auburn awarded grant to study traffic

The University of Alabama is teaming up with Auburn University to conduct a new state-wide traffic study, and it’s all about keeping Alabamians safer on the roadways. Alabama and Auburn will join forces with the Alabama Department of Public Health to take information from that study and then convert it into specially targeted messages that will keep drivers safe. In 1837, The University of Alabama became one of the first five universities in the nation to offer engineering classes. Today, UA’s College of Engineering has more than 5,200 students and more than 170 faculty. In recent years, students in the College have been named USA Today All-USA College Academic Team members, Goldwater, Hollings, Portz, Boren, Mitchell and Truman scholars.
