At work, at home, at the store and in the car, your phone is always right there with you … According to a study by the University of Alabama, the number of reported cases where distracted driving caused the crash increased by 20 percent in 2016 over 2014. In 1837, The University of Alabama became one of the first five universities in the nation to offer engineering classes. Today, UA’s College of Engineering has more than 5,200 students and more than 170 faculty.
