American Fulbright scholars in Newcastle

Aligning with its commitment to enhance international collaboration and foster global impact, the University of Newcastle welcomes two visiting American Fulbright Scholars who will contribute to research in water sustainability and eating behavior. Visiting from the University of Alabama, Professor Sazonov develops wearable devices to study health-related behaviors and deliver personalized behavioral interventions. His research group developed sensors for monitoring of food intake, cigarette smoking, and physical activity. Sources: The National Tribune Mirage News

In 1837, The University of Alabama became one of the first five universities in the nation to offer engineering classes. Today, UA’s College of Engineering has more than 5,200 students and more than 170 faculty. In recent years, students in the College have been named USA Today All-USA College Academic Team members, Goldwater, Hollings, Portz, Boren, Mitchell and Truman scholars.
