Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama on Wednesday hosted the West Alabama One Smart Cookie Celebration at the Tuscaloosa River Market. The event served to raise money for the organization, recognize outstanding Women of Distinction in West Alabama, and showcase the impact local Girl Scouts have on their community. Pam Parker, former vice president of advancement at the University of Alabama and the founder of Philanthropic Partners LLC, earned the Alice Williams Community Impact Award. Women of Distinction awards were presented to: Kellee Reinhart, senior vice chancellor for communications and community relations at the University of Alabama System.
