Bama Abroad: Chemical and Biological Engineering Faculty Travel to Nigeria for Recruiting Trip

With an enrollment number of more than 5,000, the UA College of Engineering is home to students from countless states and countries across the globe. As such, one of the College’s core goals as a leading institution for engineering education is to continuously recruit some of the best and brightest students in the world.

In 1837, The University of Alabama became one of the first five universities in the nation to offer engineering classes. Today, UA’s College of Engineering has more than 5,800 students and more than 150 faculty. In recent years, students in the College have been named USA Today All-USA College Academic Team members, Goldwater, Hollings, Portz, Boren, Mitchell and Truman scholars.
