18 Selected for 2026-2027 Leadership U Class    /  UA News

Eighteen University of Alabama faculty and staff who hold leadership roles within their respective departments were selected for the Leadership U class for 2026-2027. Offered by the Office for Academic Affairs, Leadership U is open to those who display the potential to develop into future leaders and who have an interest in higher education leadership knowledge, skills and values.

In 1837, The University of Alabama became one of the first five universities in the nation to offer engineering classes. Today, UA’s College of Engineering has more than 5,800 students and more than 150 faculty. In recent years, students in the College have been named USA Today All-USA College Academic Team members, Goldwater, Hollings, Portz, Boren, Mitchell and Truman scholars.
